WW2 action girl coming soon

They say that YouTube is the place for music now – more people go there to listen to music than any other site believe it or not – so I realise it is paramount these days to have music videos for the promotion of your album/single or anything really.  I had a stab before Christmas at creating a comedy slide show for ‘Without You Tonight‘; it’s gone down really well and certainly achieved it’s ‘viral’ marketing target – thanks to everyone who’s forwarded it on to friends and family, I hope they enjoyed their all singing all dancing Xmas card!

I followed on this idea when filming my first video on our last holiday in Antigua.  Keeping my old family cine-film in mind – I thought a home movie style video would match the playful mood of ‘Kinder’ (a tongue in cheek calypso song about requited love and the rush it gives…)   I hope it’s a tonic to the cold and misery of January:

The next video is now being planned – we’re going to tackle my bebop track ‘Don’t Assume that I’m Blue’ setting it as a 1940’s ‘girl power’ mini movie – me playing a land girl working as a mechanic on old cars and buses on location in Nottingham at Bartons, Wollaton Hall and the Industrial Museum there.  We’ll shoot it during Armed Forces Weekend 26th and the 27th June 2010

Over and out! xj

ps.  As new video’s are completed they will of course be added to my Watch page here where you can also see me with the band playing live around the UK and beyond…
