Those who follow my social media may already be aware that my husband Will was diagnosed out of the blue with terminal cancer last October; what we thought was a strained ligament in his hip was shown to be lung cancer that had spread to his liver and bones.  Obviously we were shocked and devastated and I stopped working immediately to become his full time carer.

Sadly he passed away on the 15th March.  Out of pain at last he was laid to rest in a natural burial ground in North Nottinghamshire.  So the last 8 months have been the most distressing and upsetting of my life.  Our 9 year old son and I miss him very badly as do so many others – the outpouring of love for Will has been a great comfort.

While I still feel in a state of shock I also feel it is healthy to busy myself again, which is the reason for this post.  I am now taking bookings for functions, gigs and festivals, and also taking on singing students.  I don’t like to be alone or idle and I enjoy making music (obviously income during these hard times is also helpful) so do please bear me in mind again for your music requirements going forwards.  I’m also delighted to have had lots of support from BBC Introducing who are playing another of my recordings tomorrow evening!  Onwards and upwards.

I hope you are all ok and to see you soon.

Thank you for your support. Jx
